TIG welding

At MakSteel we weld S235JR sheet metal material, galvanized sheet metal, inox sheet metal and aluminium sheet metal components that are cut by laser or shear cut and shaped in the extrusion press if necessary.

Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding is a manual welding method that uses a non-consumable tungsten electrode to produce a high-quality, precise weld.

We use TIG welding in applications where a high level of precision and control is required.

Our welder can modify the arc and filler metal to produce consistent, high-quality welds. In addition, TIG welding produces a significantly cleaner weld, with low spatter and slag, and produces minimal heat-affected zones, making it beneficial for working with materials that have very thin walls.

Another key advantage of TIG welding is that it requires minimal cleaning, making post-weld cleaning minimal and thus saving both time and cost for production.TIG welding does not produce the fumes and sparks associated with other welding methods, such as stick welding or MIG welding.

Recommended for large and complex projects where there is a wide range of materials and thicknesses. Although it may take longer to complete a project and require a higher level of skill and experience, the benefits outweigh the disadvantages for projects requiring high quality and precision welds.

However, the TIG welding method is a time-consuming process and is not as fast as other methods.
